How long for RN license in the mail?

U.S.A. Connecticut

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer by searching.

How long does it take for the RN license to be mailed? I have a position where I need to get in my license.

Thanks!

Are you newly licensed?

If so it was like two week or so for me.

Most places can and will verify an active license by going to the CT state website. Here's the link if you want to check to make sure your name and license number are up https://www.elicense.ct.gov/

Maybe your employer can verify that way and then once the paper one comes in you can give them that. That's what I had to do.

Are you a new nurse, first license in CT? If so, when the state approved your license request, you should have received an email that said when they mail them out. For me, my email stated licenses are mailed during the 3rd week of the following month.

If you are licensed in another state and have requested a CT license, I do not know...but I would assume it is the same. But like the previous person said, your employer can verify your license on the website.

It was about 6 weeks for me, but I also took the NCLEX before the normal late June/July rush.
