How long for physical liscense??

Hi everyone!

i took my nclex June 24th, found out I passed about 3 weeks later (July 16th, mailed out my application for my license July 20th and still don't have my physical liscense. Today marks a month since I paid the BON and I still don't have it! My name is on the BVNPT (I live in California) and I can't even apply to any jobs without the physical liscense! My name appeared online on August 11. It's been 9 days is this normal?? :(

I was just wondering, why can't you apply for jobs before you get the physical license? I assume that you can get the license number for the CA BoN and use that number on any and all job applications. This is something that all my instructors told us to do. By the time you get a face to face interview then you may have the license.

The facility that I was hired at verified my license online before I had my interview. All they asked for me to do is bring it in before the first day of work. Luckily I had mine before the interview. Good luck and maybe someone else can give you a real timeline.

i have been applying for jobs and i have an interview tomorrow but i'm scared to be rejected since i don't have the physical card. i did print out my license number on the BoN so hopefully that'll be good enough. i'm just super anxious waiting for the card since it said 3-4 weeks for it to process and it's been 4 weeks :o
