How limiting is adult vs family pmhnp?

I'm currently in a FNP program, but am considering switching to PMHNP. The school I am considering offers both Adult and Family PMHNP. I am not interested in doing pediatrics, but how limited would I be with only adult. Another thing is, if I were to be hired alongside an adult PMHNP, would all the ped cases get thrown to me because of my family cert?

As an Adult PMHNP, I can see ages 13 and up, and I don't know if I want to stoop that low even, lol!

I am an adult PMHNP. In my practice we have in my opinion to many child/providers and only 2 adult providers. So all the child/adolescent cases go to them even though I can see 13 and up. That's fine with me because I have no interest in treating kids and dealing with their families, give me the severe/persistantly mentally ill anyday! Lol
