Im a mom of a 2 yr old and a wife and I feel like I should be doing something productive until then? What did y'all do to prepare for NS? Thank you for any replies:heartbeat

1. Ensure your immunizations are current

2. Brush up on basic math if this is a weak spot

3. Study medical terminology (you can obtain a free list of medical terms online)

4. Read up on basic human anatomy

5. Research common diseases such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, and cancer.

Yea i start in January also and i was wondering the same thing........

If you haven't had A& P yet, start memorizing the bones and muscles now, so you can concentrate on the physiology when you're in class. The flash cards help a ton!!

I'm not starting NS until Jan, but I'm in A&P now, and I wish I'd started on the bones and muscles a few months before class began.

I would start earning Vitamins & Minerals & the deficiency/toxicity that can occur. Also what foods they can be found in.

I wish our instructor would have told us at Orientation to start learning those, that was the hardest test we've had so far in Nutrition, mainly because it's alot of memorization.

I will start in January as well. I was also wondering what i can do now to prepare myself. This info will help me alot. Time to hit the book store. Where can I buy A&P flashcards? Cause when school starts I rather be ahead then behind.

I found my flash cards at Amazon, but they also sell them at places like Barnes&Noble. Amazon usually has teh best price though.
