How I passed nclex-rn 6/9/14 :)

Published

86 questions and I got the good pop up so I passed ahhhh!!!!!! I also felt good about the exam.

What I did to prepare...

:nurse: I did ALL of Kaplan questions with 65% average. I didn't watch content videos but I heard they're helpful... I just like questions and rationales.

:nurse: NCSBN I did 800 questions from their bank, I found these easier than Kaplan. Scores ranged from 50 - 100% but the tests are short (20 questions)

:nurse: Saunders has some SATA practice, did like 200 of those but I did pretty bad on most of them... AND I PASSED NCLEX! Don't get discouraged!!! NCLEX SATA seemed more straightforward

:nurse: "Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises" by LaCharity is a great book if you want practice on those question types. I did all 18 chapters of practice questions but didn't get to the case studies.

I feel like Kaplan alone would've been enough since their questions felt much harder than the NCLEX to me. NCSBN was also helpful and similar to NCLEX so I'm sure that alone would prepare you too. I think it all depends on what you feel you need practice in.

Last thing!!! What I did the day before NCLEX: got a massage, walked on the beach alone to think, and did very MINIMAL review of notes.

GOOD LUCK!!!! You can do it!!!! Just breath and be confident in your ability to think the questions through. :inlove: :inlove:

CONGRATS!! how long did u review? I finished the NCSBN Q-Banks as well and currently taking the KAPLAN Q-TRAINERS. I can't wait to take the exams as well.

I took the Kaplan course live and then reviewed for 2 weeks up until my exam!!! :) If you do both Kaplan and NCSBN, you will do just fine on NCLEX. Just practice and understand what you get wrong!

I keep getting high 50s on my Kaplan Trainers. I havent started the Qbank yet. I'm supposed to take the test Friday. I should probably change the date and study some more content huh? I just don't know if I'll ever feel ready. Like when is enough enough already?!?
