How do I keep my LPN license active without working?

I am studying for the NCLEX-RN and have taken a break from working until I get my RN license. However, I don't want my LPN license to lapse. I have been inactive for a long time and don't know the different tricks nurses do to keep it active. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

you should check with your bon to see what the requirements are. all that info is on there website. good luck !!!!!

In my state all you have to do is to complete your required CEUs and pay the fee when it is due. It is my understanding that some states may require paid work. If that is the case in your state, then all you have to do is to sign up with one of the companies that do flu shot clinics. I have met several "retired" nurses who only ever work these clinics. Of course to find out the requirements in your state, contact your Board.

some of us have been known, to pay the re-newal fee..... :redpinkheon time, and keep the req. # ceu course done and records......got the picture?
