How do I demonstrate critical thinking in an interview? I recently was turned down in an interview, and I asked the manager why I didn't get the job, and she said it was because I did not demonstrate critical thinking in my interview. Now I am getting an interview for the same job again, and I want to know how I can "demonstrate critical thinking".

Let's practice with this post. What other information might we need to consider to have any clue about how to answer this question?

I'll give you a little help here. What Sour Lemon is asking you to think through is that we can't possibly give you a good answer to your question because you did not give us enough information.

What did you do badly during your first interview? What types of questions did they ask that you were not able to give a good answer for? Did they give you clinical scenarios and ask you to describe what you would do in that situation? Were there other types of questions that stumped you? Can you give us some examples of the kinds of questions you struggled with? etc.

Without having that information, we can't really give you suggestions for improvement.
