Hello, I am a second year SRNA. I have recently been thinking about signing up for Valley Review. How helpful did you guys think it was? In my program, we have to take personal days to go. Is it worth the $1000 bucks?
There are many discussions of the Valley Review course if you use the search engine on this forum. It's been years since I sat for the exam and I found Valley helpful. Good luck

I think it was a good review, and it often explained things in a different way than I learned them, and I feel that I gained a better understanding than I had before of certain subject areas. And, even better, it's not a thousand bucks. More like $640.
My opinion...ur gonna sit there so they can read the sweatbook to you??, i didnt go and am glad. But i did study the material, you can make copies from someone who has it, or buy it from them online directly without having to go there, you don't HAVE to go to valley. I dont think it will make or break you, you gotta study no matter what. ugh.
(try ebay periodically, sometimes you can find the memorymaster/sweatbook there)
For me, actually being at valley did NOTHING for me except get me a few days off of clinical and a decent road trip with classmates. I DEFINITELY could have gone without it. But that's just me. The material, including the memory master is worth the purchase, if for nothing else, the organization of the material. I wouldn't use it as your sole source for studying, but it's very nice to have when you're trying to filter the BS.
the sweatbook is a good agenda for you to study for the boards, I would recommend buying that, the memory master was okay I kind of wish I spent the extra $$ for the flashcards instead of the book.
I did not go to the class, I figured noone can teach you / spoon feed you jack in one weekend what you have been learning the last two years.
The only thing I believe you may miss if you dont take the class is the mailings they send you if you are in the actual class...but ask people who are in the class what the "gist" of the mailings are, then study the topics thouroughly.
I did not see much Valleyesque questions/ material on my boards, some of my classmates saw some very similar material.
I passed.
I took the exam yesterday. Nerve racking experience. I did not get freaked out until question number 83 when i knew i was getting close to the number 90 mark. My computer stopped ay 90 so i am not sure what that means. I do think valley helped. They cover anesthesia topics in a way that is easy to understand. I think it is worth the money. But i am waitng on results so i will keep you posted.
