How helpful is Valley Review?
Hello, I am a second year SRNA. I have recently been thinking about signing up for Valley Review. How helpful did you guys think it was? In my program, we have to take personal days to go. Is it worth the $1000 bucks?

Which PDA to purchase?
I know you may have already purchased one or read the other threads. However, I do not reccommend the T5 Palm. I have been having a lot of trouble with mine along with the others who purchased it in my class. There is a computer bug on all the format discs and it is not very compatible with the Medatrex charting format we use. Also, the company charges $20 per phone call to toubleshoot after a certain amt of time passes. A couple of people in our class have the verizon 3 in 1 combos. I have been thinking about purchasing one myself. Hope this helps!

How much experience do I need? DUKE?
You sound really dedicated and your GPA is awesome! You should go for it. I am currently an SRNA at UTC. Have you thought about applying there?

Any specific books that helped you study?
We are specifically covering Physiology. For example, we are now on ANS/lymph in Stoelting. She has been asking a lot of k-type questions on the material. Most of the Q/A are not specifically stated in the book. Our teacher said those with less clinical experience(me!-2yrs) would have to study a lot harder than those who had it. Are there any books that you know of that would help me link all of the info together or that give example questions? Thanks!

Any specific books that helped you study?
Hi, I am in my first month of anesthesia school and I am starting to get discouraged. I have done well on my first two test, however, the third test was awful:o . Even though the class average was low, I still think I should have done better. I felt prepared for the test when I went in, but my grade did not reflect this. Our professor told us to re-evaluate our study methods. So, I was wondering if there were any specific books that helped you SRNAs or CRNAs study? I have been reading, studying with groups, making flash cards, and recording/listening to the classes. She teaches from Stoelting(Pharm&Phys) which I feel it is hard to break down the content. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Starting application process...many questions...
I don't know if you have taken the MAT, but that is what UT chatt requires for admission. I think they like a score of 45 of higher. They also are impressed if you have your CCRN. Good Luck!

First week of class for SRNA
Hi, I just started my first week of school and I am looking for some study tips! I am currently taking Advanced A&P. We are covering the material extremely fast and will have a test every week. Can anyone tell me some techniques that helped them retain info? (flash cards, rewriting, etc) I really would appreciate any advice?

Hardest interview questions
Hi, I have an upcoming interview at UTC. I have heard that they require a test(similar to a CPU?) and an ethical discussion essay during the interview. Can anyone tell me what to expect? I would really appreciate it... Thanks a bunch. The anticipation is nerve racking!

Future SRNA's; Words of Encouragemnt
Hi. I am new to the site. Your thread is very encouraging. I have an interview coming up in about 2 weeks. Any tips for the interview? Did you have to take a test and write an essay? Just a little scared...
