How heavily are NET results counted in admission?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi Everyone,

I just received my NET results today, I scored well in math and not so well in reading.

I was just wondering, how heavily are NET results weighed at your school for admission?

The school I received the results for makes you take the test and then if your results are good, they have you come in for an interview.

My overall score was 73rd percentile, required to get an interview is 70th percentile. Is this all they are going to look at?

I have a previous bachelor's degree in business, straight A's in the prereq's for nursing. I am just really bad at standardized test?

Do I still have hope of admission or can I just say forget it?? :o :o

Losing hope!! Really nervous!! :o

Specializes in NICU.

I had to take the NET as part of my Nursing 190 class... an intro class everyone at my school is required to take before they apply. The instructor said, though, that it doesn't have any bearing on whether we get in or not. Apparently we take it again in the 2nd semester of Nursing school to see how far we've gone... so it sounds like it has nothing to do with whether we get accepted...

Bleh, I did well on it, though. I'd actually be HAPPY if it counted ;)

It odd how each school have different requirements.

Just have to go w/ the flow, I guess !

Whomever celebrates it.....

HAPPY EASTER !
