Hi I'm new to this site. I'm takong Microbiology this semster. I have heard both good and bad things about this class. How hard was this class to you. I had to take General bio before and I finally passes it with my 3rd attempt. How many hours of study time do you generaly need to pass? Thanks for your help.
thanks everyone:) I'm loving the class so far but its only been 2 weeks since I started so well see. I took 2 quizes and I got 100% on both so thats a good start. I have not taken chemistry or biochem. I will need Chemistry one in the future. I think I'm going to be ok. Thanks again
I've had only one class so far, and I think it is very interesting although I think it will be alot of work. I am hoping to do well, but there is SO MUCH to remember. It would be nice to make a Micro sticky so we could all help each other out
I just started Micro this semester. All I have heard are bad things about the class and the professor so that's not very encouraging. A few people that I know who are generally good students either failed out or dropped the class. I don't want to let this discourage me though. I got a B on the first exam which I was very happy with. I reviewed my notes almost every day, putting in probably 8 hours per week of study time which seemed to work ok for me. Making flashcards helps with memorization, but you also have to be able to apply concepts on the test. Study, study, study... and don't give up! That's all I can say

Hi,
I felt the same way before i had Mirco. But guess what? It wasnt hard as i thought. I actually liked this class more than i liked the other biology courses. I studied long and hard, but the topics were very interesting, so it wasnt that bad. Good Luck
