  1. right now i'm finishing up Microbiology This spring i'm taking basic A & P and I will be taking the NET test to get into the LPN Program so hopefully I will start the LPN program in August of 08. I can't wait i am so done with pre-core classes.
  2. There are only two schools in my area and they both go by GPA and there is no waiting lists it is by GPA and they go by who has the highest to be accepted. So LPN is the only way for me to go because of my GPA.
  3. I live in florida and the compition is not so hard to get into the RN program if you are bridging from the LPN program. I am so excited to be finially doing this it feels like my goal is finally happening. Thank you all for the advice.
  4. I was talking to a counseral at school today about applying to the LPN program since it is so much eaiser to get in and I only have to take one class and past the LPN net test with a 41 or better. He said that he would strongly recommend i go this route. I have 3 classes to complete for the RN program but my GPA sucks big time it is a 2.4 and that is way to low to get into the RN program so this may be my only way of getting into the RN program by doing the LPN first. Would any one recommend doing this first or just keep going for RN school.
  5. thanks everyone:) I'm loving the class so far but its only been 2 weeks since I started so well see. I took 2 quizes and I got 100% on both so thats a good start. I have not taken chemistry or biochem. I will need Chemistry one in the future. I think I'm going to be ok. Thanks again
  6. I thought General bio was HARD. I had my first class and lab today it was not so bad. I did my study guied terms this evening and it was not bad. So I will see what the semester brings as I get into it.
  7. Then that is going to be the chem that I take. I hate labs so much!
  8. Thanks I usually study for that amount of time. I have the same teacher that I took for general bio and I liked her teaching style alot and she wanted us to pass the class.
  9. This a real big help thanks! I have taken sociology but I took a different nutrion class called human nutrion and diet therpy so I don't know if PBCC will except that. I have no plans to get my BSN I just want to be a floor nurse and not get into managemanet but kudos that want to go the distance! I don't college algabra so I'm glad I don't need it. I need to take chem and human growth and dev. I will take to a counselar when the time is closer for me to move there. Thanks again.
  10. Thanks what is the easiest chem class to take if there is such a thing? I have never taken chem before.I'm currently taking microbiology and I have to take A&P I and II, also a humanities class for DBCC, but I was planning to knock out as many classes for PBCC as I could before I move there. Thanks for your help:)
  11. Hi I'm new and I'm taking pre-nursing classes to get into the RN program. I'm currently attending DBCC but I will be going to PBCC in west palm beach in 09 after I get married. I have only 3 more classes that I need for DBCC's RN program but I have to take them one semester at a time because all I have left at science classes and a humanitles class. I have looked on the web site to see what pre-classes I need for PBCC but it has chem listed in the nursing section but when I go down to the pre-courses it is not there, I'm confused on if I need that class or not. If any is going to PBCC it would be a great help to know what classes I will need in addition to the ones I have already taken for the RN program.
  12. Hi I'm new to this site. I'm takong Microbiology this semster. I have heard both good and bad things about this class. How hard was this class to you. I had to take General bio before and I finally passes it with my 3rd attempt. How many hours of study time do you generaly need to pass? Thanks for your help.
