Hi everyone,

I've been reading all the fourms on excelsior and I

have a pretty good understanding of completing this program

in a timely manor. I would like to finish the program before

2012 (if CPNE date is not months away after finishing all theory exams)

I've been searching Excelsior site for the Practice exams

but I'm not sure where to find them PLUS im not sure which practice

exam is specific for each individual exam

I have some questions:

1. Can anyone put up the link of where these practice exams

are located?

2. And also these "study guide" that are free on excelsior site are

they the ones in the 'exam content guide and documentation' which are PDF files?

3. Also any advice on NCLEX RN practice question CD that could be of help?

Any other advice would help.

thanks in advance.

can anyone put up the link of where these practice exams

are located? in order for you to be able to take a practice exam, you must first register and pay for the actual exam. i would recommend you call the advising office.... if you need help registering for a class

2. and also these "study guide" that are free on excelsior site are

they the ones in the 'exam content guide and documentation' which are pdf files? there's only 2 study guides that you may print without being registered into the program (transition & health safety) the remaining (ls1-ls3) you must submit your application.

3. also any advice on nclex rn practice question cd that could be of help?

a lot of my fellow classmates posted that they are using saunders, i also used both saunders and med-surg success.

any other advice would help.

good luck!!!!

hi everyone,

i have some questions:

1. can anyone put up the link of where these practice exams

are located?

[color=lime][color=lime]log into my ec, then go to the tab that says register. under that it says exam registration and practice exam registration. once you register for the actual exam, you can register for the corresponding practice test. :-)

2. and also these "study guide" that are free on excelsior site are

they the ones in the 'exam content guide and documentation' which are pdf files?

[color=lime]the ec content guides are not really study guides, more of like a blueprint to follow while you are studying to know what they expect you to have knowledge about. it helps when you are doing the reading so you know what exactly to focus on.

3. also any advice on nclex rn practice question cd that could be of help?

[color=lime]saunders! i loved my saunders :-)

[color=lime]good luck with everything!!

thanks in advance.

Thanks so much for the answers!!

I have registered like suggested,

But now im wondering, if I register to take the exam (health and saftey and transitions LPN to RN)

does that mean i will be given a test date or do i pick the test date?

I didn't continue with that section because I havn't even begun to

study. I don't want to be assigned a test date and not be ready.

Can I register for the exams and have the practice

exam made available to me with out given or asked to pick a test date?

Hope my question makes sense.

Thanks again!

Test dates are chosen by YOU the student thru Pearsonvue.

EC will send you an authorization to test(ATT) by mail or email. When you get the ATT you will need to go to Pearsonvue.com and setup an account (register). Once your account is setup you will see the 2 exams you paid for then you can select the location/city and date you want to take the exams. You can schedule both exams with the date you think you will be done studying. If you find that it's not feasible to test on your chosen dates you can go back to Pearsonvue's website and choose a later date. There's no restriction as to the number of times you reschedule as long as it's within your 6 months window to test. BE VERY CAREFUL THAT YOU RESCHEDULE AT LEAST 2 DAYS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DATE OF EXAM or you will loose your $$$.

Yes, you can get the practice exam available without choosing a test date!

Once you pay for the exam, you have to wait a few days for Pearson Vue to get it and make you eligible to schedule. You pick the date you want to test but keep in mind you have 6 months to take the exam. You aren't given a test date but you do have to schedule on Pearsonvue.com/Excelsior and also test at Pearson and I know mine always has limited availability.

The practice tests you have 2 attempts at once you pay for them and you can access them up until 90 days form the date you paid for them.

Hope this helps :-)
