My G.P.A is not good either :o, i tried to apply for the program but some school don't accept the repeat of classes :crying2:, Private school are so expensive :icon_roll, i wish i tried harder for the prerequisites so i will not stuck in this hard situation :crying2::crying2::crying2:!!!!! I live in California, and i want to go to school close to where i live , If anybody in here know any public school for Register Nurse (ADN) that is easy to get in, would you please let me know ? Thank you so much for your help ! and nice to know you all !

Best wishes !:heartbeat

I too did all my pre-reqs at Delta College, and when they had changed their criteria for the ADN program back in 2004, I had 1 repeat in Anatomy from 1997 which was still counted against me, so right off the bat, I did not have a chance of getting into their program. And if you did your classes at Delta College, they will not allow you to repeat your classes if you passed with a "C", no matter how old the class is. I did my research and found all colleges in CA that I would qualify for and applied to all of them, I did not get into alot of them due to the new criteria that they were implementing based on the Chancellors Model with GPA. I was placed on a waitlist for several colleges and while I waited, I finished up my pre-reqs for the BSN. I got into Yuba College's nursing program and will be starting this month. I will be commuting 1 1/2 hour to school but it will all be worth it when I become an RN. Don't give up hope.

Hi Hollie91999, I live near Delta also but won't be able to get in since I have a B in English and am retaking A&P II. I will qualify to apply, but won't have a strong enough number to get in. I'm applying for Delta's LVN program very shortly, but there are a lot of people applying and little space so it's not likely I'll get in. I'm glad you're getting into Yuba. They JUST changed their requirements, to something similar to the Chancellors model. Plus they require Intermediate Algebra, and I've just now taken Elementary Algebra in the summer. It's SO frustrating when schools change their requirements!!! Let us know how Yuba's RN program is once you start.
