How to get New Grad position in ICU?

Hello,

I am currently a nursing student. I want to be an ICU nurse. I want to make my resume competitive while being a student. I was a military corpsman for 12 years. I would like to know what you did to get into a new grad ICU program. Any help would be great. Thank you!
