How to get a Community Health in Nursing Certificate?

Published

Hello,

I graduated last year, and am currently working as an RN in a community health centre. I am interested in obtaining a Community Health in Nursing Certificate, however I have had trouble finding schools that offer the certificate program. So far, I know of the CNA certification and an online course provided by St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia: http://www.sites.stfx.ca/continuingeducation/distance_nursing/certificate_programs. If any of you know of other schools that provide (ideally) online, and part-time programs, I would greatly appreciate your help!

Thank you!!

There are few programs that offer a certificate for community health, because you don't need a certificate for this area. What you do need is actual experience. You could enroll in a Master of Public Health nursing program if you are so inclined, but that's about it.
