I recently applied for some nurse assistant positions at Rush, and everybody keeps telling me to call and follow up. I've heard I should call either the manager of the floor I applied to, or the nurse recruiter. The problem is I can't find the contact info for either of these people anywhere online. So first, who do I call?
Second, if I do reach someone, what do I say? Something like... "Hello, I recently applied for this position. I'm very interested in the position and would like to ask you a few questions about it, as well as ask if you need any more information from me."
What kinds of questions should I ask about the position?
Thanks!

Contact human resources, they usually direct you to a recruiter
I called them, and they told me they don't give out the names of managers until you are approved for an interview. And when I asked for a recruiter they didn't know what I was talking about....
Not sure what to do now! They could only tell me that my application was still "pending" and hadn't been read yet.

Google it and contact us will show the number
Nope...they don't release that information unless you already have an interview scheduled. That's what HR told me and when I googled the info was nowhere to be found online. I asked a friend of mine who works there to put in a good word for me, and I got a call from the hospital! I guess you just have to know someone.

You call, and ask the status of your online application, and ask if the position has been filled. There, you officially " followed up" lol
