in the other post their talking about bulliess succeed and there another one bullies in the work place.

i just found out the john doe has punch his supervisor in the face because the supervisor got into john doe face calling him a loser, and faggot. has any of you experience something like this yourself or witness this yourself? yea both parties did get fired. the question is how far is to far ?

they could have been nurses. and yea the employee should have walk away and report it, intead he decided to punch the guy in the face. but see the people that is the head of the supervisior knew that the supervisior was a trouble maker they let it get out of control. am i excusing the employee for punching him no.

im not trying to be discussed but i have give this john doe some advice that the next time someone getts into his or her face instead of punching him either walk away or give the person a kiss on the nose or on the cheeks. what would you do ?

Violence happens at my job often, and in most cases, nothing happens to the people. Every now and then, a suspension takes place, but, they will even have the same two people continue to work together after the altercations, which amazes me to no end. I work in a city hospital where the unions are very strong. It can be a good thing, because it may be hard to fire a person, but a negative for the same reason, it may be hard to fire a person who really needs to just go.

Most times, it is vicious name calling, other times, it is actually a fist fight. As Emmanuel stated, at times, some of the reasons are so ridiculous that it does provide a bit of hot gossip and entertainment, but it is clearly not professional. We have folks that are obviously drunk when they arrive to work, have holes in the wall where they do their dirt and the sad thing about it is that supervisors tire themselves out fighting with these folks because all they get is a slap in the wrist.

My clinic is a relatively decent area, so, I don't encounter things personally, but, when my contract is over, I plan to seek greener pastures.
