just curious if anyone commutes as far as i do (68 miles each). several of us students get a motel room the night before so we don't have to drive the country roads in the dark! :stdnrsrck:

I used to drive about 55 miles, and then stay with relatives for the second day of clinicals.

I travel about 25 miles each way, on a toll road that costs $1.60 each way. I have a carpool full of people that are leery drivers, so I do all the driving and they all split the cost for gas and tolls. Works for me! There are some local places on our rotation but I don't seem to be scheduled for many of them. Rats.

60 Miles one way, 2 bridges, $4 toll each way. I don't know what I was thinking!

I live in Texas and attend school in Oklahoma. My school is located 225 miles from my residence, and all of the clinical sites are in the same city/state as the school.

How often do you have to be there? I'm guessing you stay. I did 90 minutes to 2 hours each way for LPN school/clinicals and averaged 1 hour each way for my RN clinicals. I commuted back and forth and just muddled through it. Good luck every one.
