What is the best way to deal with the stress of the job? I'm a firm believer in exercise and the occasional glass of white wine. Any other suggestions? I'm a newbie (to nursing, not to stress) and am having trouble dealing with the really difficult days.
Wow what great responses! I love the variety. I agree with everyone here and love all the suggestions for stress reduction. For me, I believe balance and self-care is the key. Balance means, to me, that more than one area of well-being is addressed. Nutrition, movement, emotional fitness, hobbies, support systems, spirituality, energy work, and mindful presence are the things that I find make me a well-rounded healthy individual who lives in a stress free environment.
