How to cope with application anxiety?

Published

Hi! I’m new here, but to anyone who’s applied to nursing schools, how do y’all cope with the anxiety of just waiting to hear back? I just applied to a BSN program and they should be letting us know within a month if we’re getting accepted, denied, or waitlisted.. but it literally keeps me up at night. (As I type this it’s literally 5:27am LOL) I seriously can’t be losing sleep over this because I work too. On top of that the school I applied to is super weird when it comes to accepting people kind of like a lottery system. I just need some words of encouragement. This is my first time applying anywhere and I’m just terrified. lmao ?

Hi!  I’m right there with ya!  I even paid $70 to apply to another nursing school program in my area just to feel better about having another option!  I also troll this site a ton!!  It’s agonizing, but all we can do is wait. Do you have time to possibly apply to some other programs in your area too?  Then you won’t feel like you’re putting all your “eggs in o e basket”. Even if you don’t think you would go to a different school, it’s good to have options if possible.
