Hi all! I'm an oncology nurse who's interested in becoming HT certified. Many of our pastoral care members do it and it works MAGIC for cancer pain. Anyway. My hospital does offer classes, but they're about once in a blue moon, so it would take a very long time to get certified. Anyone know of a faster way? Thanks a bunch!

I am in the Dallas area and very interested in adding Healing Touch to my repertoire of nursing skills.
I really cannot travel (high maintenance family and no money being a nontrad student at present), but could scrape up some bucks for local training.
If anyone knows of any, please post!
Thanks!

I completed my studies in about 3 years but have heard of people who fast tracked & did it in 18 months! Wow, those people have time & money. It is expensive when one adds travel to the courses & time off work to go to classes. I have no regrets as I am one of only 5 in my state Certified as a HTP. I start massage school this week. Funny how energy work can change some one's goals. I am also board Certified in Cardiac/Vascular Nursing. I am moving towards getting out of critical care full time & working in my private practice more hours. Hope you can find classes in your area, you may have to travel. Go for it! :balloons:

Go to the we site: www.healing touch international.com.....they list classes being given all over the country, It is not cheap...it is a sacrfice..but after just completing level 1, I am more determined to complete the diffrent levels until I can become certified and the open my own business and not just shove pills at people or cut them open ....I believe there is more to being well...Good LucK! Dear Friend
Please read the post I just put up today on this very subject. The thread I think they call it that since I am new at this is, Reiki and healing Touch for pain management. Healing Touch International and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is the most extensive program out there and only the best and most qualified teach. Let me know what you think.
