How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Published

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

For which campus did you apply for??? What is your science GPA and overall GPA?

FINALLY!! A fellow kendall campus student...I feel like everyone on this thread is going to the Fort Myers Campus. I am looking forward to starting!! I am ready to be a nurse already! I am extremely nervous....I have a few "BSN" friends and all they have to say is get ready for hell and not having a life for the next 2 years. Hopefully we can all help eachother through this process :)

Hi Kristi.Congrats..How are you?I got accepted into the main campus but i actually want to attend the kendall campus.I was wondering if the students on the kendall campus are all baptist students. If so when did you find out you where accepted?

Hi! I am good thanks for asking. How are you? No, all the students are accepted through NOVA and are given the option to apply for Baptist's scholars program. So you can attend Kendall campus even if you aren't doing the baptist program. I just did my baptist interview today and they said we won't find out until about the second week of July if we are accepted....but either way, I still go to NOVA Kendall for my orientation in August. Hope this helps!! :)

Hi guys,

I just had my baptist interview. It really is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The people that interview you are all very nice and do smile. There is a panel of 5... They introduce themselves before they begin and tell you if you have any questions for them, you can ask them at the end of the interview. Some of the questions they ask are:

*What qualities do I have that show i can be a leader?

*Why do I want to be a nurse?

*What is my biggest mistake?

* What would I do if I knew someone was going to call in sick and was lying about it and how would I handle it?

*Have I ever been in a position were I was in a disagreement with a supervisor and how did I handle the

situation?

*Have I ever had to go above and beyond in a project...describe.

*Have I ever been dissatisfied in a group project and why?

I believe those were all of them. Pretty much situation-based questions. I feel I was nervous and did not answer them the way I normally would, but I think they understand that you are nervous. Just keep calm and remember they are people just like me and you. Be honest with them and you will be fine. I told them I was nervous and I apologized and they all were very nice and encouraging. Goodluck to you all!

Hello,

To anyone planning to move to fort myers for the fall entry nursing program at Nova, and looking for a roommate. I am looking to rent a house between the 800 to 950 a month range and would like to know if anybody is interested in being my roommate and split it. I want to have a nice, descent place that is also in a safe area. It will probably be a 3bed/2bath/2car garage, hopefully with a pool. I plan to move in on August 1st, so I could be ready and situated before school starts. If anyone is interested and serious about it, hit me up at [email protected].

Thank you!!! I wish we could all get the scholarship as well!! Best of luck to you and hopefully we do see eachother at kendall!

Hi, mine is next week. What kind of question they ask you? I'm afraid I'll be speechless if they ask hard questions.

Mollie,

Let me know what you decide! I was on a waiting list for the main campus, but decided to just go for the fort myers campus. The move is going to be slightly annoying, but I'm excited for the fall!
