Hi everyone! Currently I am finishing up my pre reqs for the ADN nursing program in hopes to apply to a JC! However, how did you balance everyday life? Husband, children (2), and working PT or FT? Any thoughts? Advice? Please help!

Make nursing school #1. There were a few people in my program that thought home and work life could come first, and most of them are working at in and out burger now

24-hour calendar. I map out everything on there, even when I sleep. Every minute and hour is accounted for and I very rarely stray from it. I have OCD however, so doing this helps me feel like I am still in control and alleviates some of the anxiety. It helps me incorporate my routines into my nursing school schedule.

I used planner. I decided up front how much time I wanted to spend per week studying and I incorporated it into my daily life

I work full time also and have 3 small children. I just want to say I am thankful for my husband. He is so helpful. I also rely on the grandparents. I agree with the pp as well. Get organized and get a planner! It helps a. ton. Good luck to you all!
