How to apply in Michigan

Can someone please give me an idea how to apply as a nurse in Michigan? :confused: Im a new grad from the Phils and still waiting for my license so that i could apply for an nclex. What are the steps do i need to take?

Thread moved to the International Forum since you will have additional requirements to be met as a foreign-trained nurse.

First of all, you are not applying for the NCLEX exam, that is impossible to do as there are no applications for the exam. It requires that you have permission to sit for the exam from a state Board of Nursing.

MI requires that you have a credentials eval done by CGFNS called the CES. They will not even look at your application until that is done and the CES requires that you have an actual license number that they can verify before they will complete the report for you.

Please read the Primer at the top of this forum to see more information that you need to have. Also you need to be aware that you are looking at about five years plus for a chance at a green card. There is also a retrogression in place as well that has been in effect for almost two years. You can read all about it on this forum as well.
