I just wanna say THANK YOU! to AllNurses.com!
I am a new nurses and have been on this site many times with many, many, many questions! And all feedback has been great, information, and educational!
One example: I was just coming off orientation and my confidence was very shakey! Can I be a nurse without my preceptor? Will I make the right nursing judgement calls for my patient? etc...I read others stories on this site and I realized that I was not alone! I'm happy this site is here so I can relate with others when I've had a long day.
Thanx!
How has All Nurses.com helped you?!?
When I need a laugh, AN is there.
To pass the time and at the same time, learn something, AN is there.
Learned a lot from other nurses' tips esp those that they don't teach in school.
That the feelings, pleasant or not, I have being a nurse is far more common than I thought...the compassion for the sick, the frustration of the healthcare system, the camaraderie of the co-workers, etc, etc
Many good advices here in AN. I guess, it takes a nurse to understand a nurse.
I love AN!:loveya: and thank you so much for creating this website.
This is a great thread!!!!!
This is a great place to make cyber friends, share your day.......good or bad, ask questions, offer opinions, get a good laugh.

All nurses has helped me out so much that I dont even know where to being. While in nursing school I went on All nurses for advices and learning tips and it has helped me out tremendously. I found all nurses towards my 2 to last semester of nursing school. Many times I think to myself only if I found it sooner in nursing school. But its okay. Their's a reason to everything. All I know I am truly grateful for all nurses!!!!!
I finally graduated from nursing school and successfully pass my NCLEX. I agree with 2 Nurture1: " I even recall while taking NCLEX, and referring back to the infection control mneumonic (My Chicken Hez TB) I also use this mnemonic along with SSSPIDERMMMAN and DIPSS.
Also, during my last semester of med surg I was unclear of a disease, I typed it on the search box in all nurses and one of the links a member mention flashcards, so I looked farther into this and let me tell you my mouth dropped. Every topic there was flashcards to help you memorize topics from med surg, pedi, etc.....
