Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs

Just wanted to provide a place for updates for the December grads for nurse residency programs in Houston! Coming from out of state I definitely don't want to miss anything! So far I've applied to Methodist and Harris Health. Still waiting for Memorial's, Chi St. Luke's, and HCA's to open. Does anyone have suggestions of other places to apply? Looking for adult critical care or intermediate positions.

Has anyone heard from memorial herman sugar land they said close to the end of the week maybe tomorrow

I got an email that I got an offer at Greater Heights. HR is out of town and will call me later tomorrow

Congrats. What unit did you get offer. So did you get offer via email? I'm checking my email every single minute and nothing :( so despressed. When did you get your offer

Thanks!! She only told me med surge. Not sure specifically what type. Yeah I got offer via email but only because she was too "busy" to call and wants to let me know asap. I got it around mid afternoon today! Keep your head up!! I've been applying countless numbers of apps. Super stressful but you gotta stay positive cause good things will come.

Thank you for your words. I got interviewed for Mother children and Medsurg on Tues and she told me that i may know the result by the end of the week. The medsurg interview was not so well though. Hopefully I can get to hear something tmr.

Did you interview at TCH? I'm still trying to figure out if people have interviewed. Ha! On another thread, it seems they had a virtual open house and interviews this week, but in the past rejection emails were sent the same day as invites.

Have people gotten called for second interviews after the Methodist pre-screen?

Yes! Interviewed at TCH on Tuesday. They sent out rejections last week for if you got an interview or not. They had the virtual open house last Friday, then held interviews this week.

I'm still waiting to hear back for Methodist for second interviews from the pre-screening interviews.
