Hi everyone! I graduated with my BSN and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. Best of luck!

At the prescreening on Thursday, the recruiter said we'd hear back in 2 weeks. I didn't ask for what specifically. Another interview? Cause this was labeled a prescreening. Or would it be with a job offer? Did anyone ask?

I was actually told that this was the final interview, at least for the West campus. They said that they were probably going to make their decision by the end of the day and we would hear back from Stephanie next week (this week technically) about their decision. So we can expect either a rejection or a formal job offer in their email this week. They said the reason they aren't doing another formal interview is because they lost out on good candidates in the past by waiting too long.

But yeah I was surprised to hear that too because from what the recruiter told me on the phone, this was a prescreening.

Has anyone been contacted by houston methodist besides fron the west campus?

Is anyone interviewing with MH this week and have an idea on what questions they ask?

I checked glassdoor to get an idea of what type of questions they might ask. I imagine each unit will ask different questions.

Hello y'all,

I also applied for two units in TMC for Houston methodist and haven't heard anything back yet and my application says under review. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard anything back from TMC location. I also appled to TMC for MH. Thank you!

I will also update when I finally hear back ?

Update: I heard back from MH TMC (my 1st choice) for the OR to schedule a 15 min zoom interview last Thursday. I still have not heard back from HM in TMC at all.

Anybody hear from any MH TMC units?

I just heard back from their OR department last Thursday but I am not sure about other departments

I wasn't selected for my first choice at Memorial Hermann, and I'm still awaiting a response from my second choice. It seems unlikely that St. Luke's has chosen me either, as I haven't received any communication from them, and another candidate mentioned that interview invites were sent to her today. Also, I haven't heard back from Houston Memorial or Harris Health. With rejections from two hospitals, I'm starting to feel a bit unsure about my chances.

Don't feel discouraged yet! You won't hear back from MH 2nd choice until next week.  If St Lukes started sending interview invites today, they most likely haven't finished sending them all out so keep your eyes peeled this week. I don't think anyone has heard back from Harris Health yet, at least not my group of friends. Just remember that you are not only applying against people from your cohort or other schools in Houston but people apply from all over because Houston has one of the greatest Med Centers in the nation. You are up against hundreds, if not a thousand, applicants. Don't feel let down from two rejections, it is a numbers game and soon enough, hopefully you will get some traction from the other prospects.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I meant to say I haven't heard anything from Houston Methodist** Do you know anyone that has received communication from them?

I think with Methodist it will all depend on the unit and campus. Some of my friends got offers from one of the campuses today and the others have second interviews scheduled for this week so all just depends.

Hey guys! I've been reading your threads and feeling a bit discouraged. I am applying from out of state with a special interest in L&D, Mother Baby, or NICU. Houston Methodist Willowbrook recruiter reached out to me via text and email about the prescreening. I saw that it was an in-person event so I texted and emailed immediately letting them know that I do not reside in Houston but am still more than willing to participate somehow. I was left with no response ?. I then got an email again about spots still being open for the prescreening, from the same recruiter. I emailed again to be left with no response. Has anyone been having trouble getting responses from Houston Methodist Willowbrook or other locations? I guess that was the signal to show I was no longer in the running or maybe I am... IDK at this point. I also haven't heard from West or Baytown, my status says the application was received but it seems that people are already getting offers as well. I'm still holding hope that Harris Health, St Lukes, or texas children's will reach out. NGRP applications are so stressful and discouraging and it feels like I'm applying to nursing school all over again ? . My home state is no better when it comes to New grad programs and I was trying to broaden my horizons for a better chance at employment.
