Published

Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early but I am graduating this December and will be applying to houston nurse residencies and didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications start in a few months, just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc...?

Like if you didn't do any of your clinicals there ?

Yes. There is a pre screen question that asks about clinical at MD Anderson.

That makes sense since that is the only question I've said no to. That stinks!

do any of yall work for MD? maybe they reject our applications because they consider their PSNEs or internal applicants first??

Has anyone who interviewed with St Luke's a couple days ago heard anything yet?

Do residencies require you to have under 6 months experience or 12 months? Trying to gauge if I should quit home health to keep trying to get into a program

For those who interviewed with MH Southwest or TMC, how long did it take to hear back from them after the interview?

It depends on the program. Some are 6 and some are 12. That's the problem I got myself stuck into! I have 6 months of experience which disqualified me from any of Houston Methodists or HCA residencies. So it does limit your residency programs you can apply to. HOWEVER I have been able to interview for RN I and some RN II positions because some requires only 6 months of experience so it does open some more opportunities in that way. It's a give and take!

It's definitely a weird situation, I have 4 months experience right now. Waiting to hear back from TCH. 🤞🏼

Any updates on hca?

Was anyone contacted by TCH today to set up an interview?
