Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2021

Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

FYI just heard from Houston Methodist Sugar Land for an interview

Does anyone know if St. Luke's, specifically Baylor, will have residency positions for the ICU and ED? When I filled out the packet, it says that those options were not available. I know it explicitly says it there, but is there really no option to pick those specialties? Because I was looking at the previous cohort's thread and some were accepted to ICU positions.

Sadly, no ? this is a new change starting with our cohort

anyone get an interview with Memorial Hermann Southeast? if so, did they tell you the unit you got the interview for? TIA!

I guess it would be safe to say that if we don’t hear anything from Methodist this week we did not get chosen since their pre screening virtual event days are 10/12-10/23.

Yes it looks like you have to do a fellowship from a PCU floor to an ICU floor now after the residency.

I feel like I won’t get considered for St. Luke’s because I forgot to convert the word document into a pdf form smh.

I really hope not! I wouldn't consider it out of the question till a formal rejection

Does anyone know how the schedule will look like for MH residency? (MH Sugarland PACU) I am currently a dialysis RN so basically wondering what kind of schedule I am getting into. TIA!
