Houston Nurse Residency spring 2020

Hi just starting a thread for Houston people looking for new graduate jobs starting in February 2020. Good luck to everyone!!

Same! It says my Job ID is acute care though and that isn't what I applied for. Is that what you got too? And for HCA I only applied to TMC so maybe!

Yeah, for the Methodist one it is giving me a choice between day/nights. Did you apply to the HCA specialty hospital or another in the TMC and when did you get it?

I'm pretty sure I only applied for HCA TMC, it didn't really list a specific hospital name so I know it wasn't the specialty one. I received it late last week sometime! But I applied for HCA maybe two or three weeks ago. I didn't apply for women's hospital or anything bc my GPA wasn't high enough ?

Yep, I only got the second part of the app as far as emails. Nothing about the interview, but my profs say we won't hear back until Nov for Harris Health. They are literally the last.

For people who applied to Memorial Hermann & got the Nurse Residency Questionaire to fill out... what did y'all do for the First Choice facility & unit and the Second Choice facility & unit? I wasn't sure if I should put two different facilities (ex: Children's and TMC) or if I should put the same facility (Children's) but put two different units (PICU and Pedi IMU). I've heard from different responses from people who work at Memorial Hermann.

It all depends on what you want. Some want two facilities with two different specialties. When did you get the questionnaire. I think different locations respond at different times too. My MH Sugarland application says under review? What locations did you choose?

It was more important for me to get a job at the TMC location, so I put TMC medsurg, then ICU for the two.

I applied to Children's and TMC. I got an email back with the questionnaire attached on Sept 25th but I'm not sure who it's from. I haven't submitted my questionnaire so my application still says "Application Received." At pre-match they said that TMC and Children's doesn't have a 2nd Match day.

Hello, I've applied to MH Sugarland and my application just changed to "under review today" so fingers crossed! I've also applied to methodist Sugarland but I haven't heard anything back?? Is Methodist Sugarland not accepting new grads this time? Because all of my classmates haven't heard anything back from them either but have with the other locations (willowbrook, katy, baytown, etc.)
