Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Published

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

Does anyone know specific application dates for St luke's Spring 2025? It just says mid-August to mid-September (and that's how I missed applying for Memorial 😭)

Do y'all plan on applying for the February 2025 cohort if you didn't get the unit of choice or no residency at all?

I have a couple of interviews for RN I positions coming up, but I am still going to apply for the Feb 2025 residencies just in case!

Hello guys,

So, I didn't get into residency this fall and plan on reapplying in the Spring. Do you guys know if recruiters/hiring manager consider application of second time applicants, does it in any way disqualify?

For interviews - just had one today with Texas Oncology for their Woodlands location and have two next week. One with HCA Houston North Cypress and one with UT Houston Multidisciplinary Clinic in The Heights

For the residencies- I will be applying to all of them haha

I applied to the UT heights clinic and never got a call 😒🙂↕️

I was going to ask the same question, and does anyone know their scrub color I mean for st Luke's medical center and lastly if you were offered a day shift how can you request for a night shift? Is it a possibility or no.

when I had clinicals there, my nurse once had 3 patients but overall it was 4-5. I remember they wore teal

I was told by a family friend (recently retired) that their scrub color is navy blue now!

In case anyone didn't know, Houston Methodist opened up their Winter 2025 nurse residency cohort today!

Also, has anyone found a good Houston Nurse Residency Winter 2025 forum on here yet?
