Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

Has anyone else applied to the MD Anderson Research Nurse Residency recently and their application status is still just "Application Completed"? I applied on July 5th and it still hasn't been viewed. I applied to a couple other positions on the same date as well and those have all been moved to review/reached out about further questions already.

What other positions did you apply to? I haven't seen their residency applications open up yet.

I believe their research nurse residency is the only one currently open! And I applied to a couple of Clinical Nurse Outpatient positions. One for their medical oncology outpatient (infusion position), one at the gyn onc clinic, and another at the melanoma clinic. I also applied to a PACU position but was immediately denied for that one haha

Has anyone heard anything from HM units after the pre screening interview such as orthopedics, pre-snf & renal??

heard back that I was not selected for pre-snf. my other friends got rejected as well

has anyone heard from methodist woodlands? I did a second interview with them after the pre-screen event and they said theyd get back to me in about a week but it's about to hit week 3 😞 my status on the website is still interview scheduled and I followed up with them but no response yet. losing hope 😥

In case anyone was wondering, it looks like they are back up and running at MD Anderson as my application has finally moved on to review!

Does anyone know if UTHealth Houston requires you to automatically be a part of residency if you have less than a year of experience? I am interviewing for a couple of jobs there, and it has not been mentioned but I know most other institutions requires the residency if you don't have a full years of experience regardless of what job they hire you on for
