Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

NICU, CCN (gen floor), Ped IMU, RCW (surgical/trauma floor), mother baby. Not L&D or PICU. I didn't write down the other ones but I think that's it

I'm not sure when it opened, but a few hours ago when I went on the website it was at the top of their careers page and it had the apply option open

I applied to Children's in the Summer and got an interview, but not an offer. I don't now if it's worth it applying again for the fall 🥲 what would y'all do?

the same thing happened to me, I got an interview for L&D but I didn't get it. it doesn't hurt to try!

I think you should try again! Just curious, what unit did you apply for your first time?

I applied to Mother Baby. I was really excited to get an interview and I though it went well, but I didn't get an offer. My second choice filled up so I didn't get another interview. I think I'm just going to apply to the Greater Heights for Mother Baby. I appreciate the encouragement but Children's is very competitive and I'm afraid of them saying no again 😭

I completely understand! I applied to the general pediatrics floor so I'm hopeful that I'll get a call for at least one of them. I was so nervous applying knowing how competitive it is for children's
