Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

Do y'all think they'll start letting us know today even though it's a holiday?

When I got a reply for Summer residency interview it was a couple days after the day they said we would hear back. it varies on the unit. If the manager is working today I would still think they would send emails but it's looking like throughout the week we'll all get different response times!

Does anyone know if memorial Hermann interview will be online or in person? I'm out of state and want to plan accordingly

Did anyone apply to the general pediatrics floor at Children's MH?

I believe those interviews are usually in person

For those applying to Harris Health, what did y'all select for the skills questionnaire if you are currently enrolled in nursing school?

Depends on the unit and hospital. Mine was in-person for Children's (postpartum), but I knew someone who had an online interview for a pediatric unit (don't remember which one). I knew 2 other people who had online interviews for theirs (one was L&D, don't remember which hospital, the other was intermediate care units at TMC). They'll tell you in the email invite whether it'll be in-person or online.

So for Harris health what do you put for education level cos the have codes and I'm having a hard time with their application process

Educational level I put my high school information and under it there was a section for degrees and that's where I put in my previous bachelors degree information
