Houston GN Residency programs 2018

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread to get info and keep each other updated on the GN residencies available in the Houston area. So far, I have applied to TCH, Houston Methodist, and Harris Health. I also signed up for Memorial Hermann's Pre-Match Day taking place this Saturday 2/17/18!

Specializes in Neurosurgical ICU.

@ Awj1108 What unit and what shift were you offered? Mine was 6SW (Stroke/Med surg overflow)

Yes that is still the pay during orientation, not sure about afterwards

I received an offer from Bayshore in the Nursery that Monday after the interview event.

Anybody that got hired with Houston Methodist know the specifics about the night shift differential pay rate? And if there's a weekend differential? Thanks in advance!

I am on the 4th floor--Neurosurgery. I was got to pick and I selected days...I am excited!

Have you heard if Harris Health started to call for interviews yet?

Nobody I know that applied has heard from Harris health yet... according to friends that applied last semester, they started their interview/selection process very late, like people didn't start getting offers until November/December (even after graduation)

Has anyone heard from TMC or harris health (ben taub or LBJ hospital)? So far I have not received calls. Does TMC take a long time to respond?
