Hey all i am a fall 2012 applicant, i have taken all classes and will be taking pharm in the spring 2012 session. Lets support each other in this process!!

I just completed pharm as well at Coleman. One thing I learned and know from others who took pharm for a second time in my class is that each pharm professor is different. Some are more difficult than others. We had to do the reading and quizzes as well, but the material is so extensive that the exams were mostly just based on her lecture key points. The pharm math is simple if you just understand everything (not sure if the exam is the same for all) but I managed to get a perfect score. I didn't completely read all the chapters I mostly just skimmed through them and did the quizzes before class. Beware, it's a lot of chapters so its a lot of quizzes.

On the day of the final, there were tears and disappointment from people who didn't make the final grade :( It is not an easy class, but with dedication anything will work in your favor :)

By the way, our professor did jump around with the chapters. So you might have to wait on the syllabus

This is my first time attending HCC and I'm enrolled for pharm this summer

What books do I need or how do I find out?

In the email that said you could take pharmacology was isbn # and the titles. They are Calculate withConfidence –, ISBN 0-978-0-323-05629-8 latest edition and Pharmacology: Connections Package w/MyNursing Lab, ISBN 978-0-132-166041, by Pearson latest edition. Hope it helps. Which section and where are you taking Pharmacology?

Oh wow I didnt see that thanks!

I'm taking it at Coleman T-W 9-12

Hi,

I'm in the process of taking my pre requisites. I've been waiting for three days to hear from the school as to what humanity class is acceptable for nursing. I really need to register for this class over the summer. Does anyone know what humanity classes are acceptable for nursing? Thank You!

Me too. Is your section 83494. If so see you on Tuesday.

Dewailer, I don't know if this will help you but when I gave my application in. The counselor put an art class that I did from an out of state college under my humanities/ fine section. It was an introduction to art class. Hope it helps u

Where did u park today? I parked in the parking lot across the school but I don't want to be paying $12 a day!

I park at fanin south park and ride and catch the metrorail. It's $3 to park and $1.25 each was so it cost $5.50 a day. The rail runs about every 6 mins and if I catch the ones before 8:20 I'm in class about 8:30. That's in my seat. So that's not bad at all. They did say there's a $6.one at pressler and holcombe. Entrance on pressler.

you can apply for the student discount through metro. Talk with someone at the student services desk, they can assist you. with the student discount your fairs would be half price. also sometime towards the beginning of the fall semester, metro has reps. in the commons to help students request the discounted fairs and set them up with Q-cards. Good Luck everyone, I know it can be expensive getting down to the med. ctr. whether you are dirving or utilizing public transit.
