Is anyone applying to Houston Community College ADN program or has anyone already taken pharmacology and waiting for acceptance letter?

Hi, I couldn't figure out how to pm you. Congrats. If you need any tips on transitioning to nursing from ems let me know. There are some tricks and sometimes its the easiest answer. Will you be doing RN or LVN? Good luck. I'll be done in one month, can't wait for it.

I am doing the RN program ADN and thanks I am sure I will need some of your tips everything will help thanks alot!

I just took pharmacology in the fall 2008. hcc said the adn program for the spring 2009 was full. i barely passed the pharm class with a 76 and i made a 97 on the math. i have a 3.67 overal gpa nd a 4.0 in my sciences. my sister said that because i took pharm in the fall 2008. the students taking pharm in the sprin and summer of 2009 are also pooled together for admittance into adn program for fall 2009. is that true. if that is the case then because i met the min req then most likely i wont get in because the people who did better than me in pharm will get in. ?? i thought there was like a 1 semester delay after taking pharm before getting into the program. can anyone who already got accepted into the adn program please help me understand this. i really want to get into the program. what are my chances? i was also considering college of the mainland or alvin cc. alvin does theirs on a point system and i am lacking a pe class and nutrition. i dont want to take extra classes if i can get into hcc. hcc doesnt require pe and nutrition yet.

I am considering applying to HCC's evening program for nursing. Does anyone know if it is part time or full time and if the clinicals are available on the weekends?

Both the day and evening program are considered full time and I don't know what days your clinicals will be on it just depends on what the instructors decide to do. In my first semester we didn't have any weekend clinicals. I hope that helps you.

I am waiting on my acceptance/denial letter from HCC for fall 2010 ADN program. Has anyone else gotten theirs?
