Houston Community College (HCC) ADN Fall 2021 Admissions

Hi everyone.

couldn’t find one so I decided to start a forum to discuss admission for ADN fall 2021.

who’s applying?

im more interested in knowing what stats will boost chances for admission, and wonder if the usual number of students are applying or has it decreased due to COVID.

I still have to do the HESI but have A’s in all my Pre reqs.

I just got my email. I got offered a spot on the alternate list for Fall 2021 cohort. Sooo, I guess not?

Me too, I just checked. It is all good, I felt my score for this school was really low and didn't expect to even get anything. But it does give me higher hopes on the other schools I applied for! I hope for you that your get in somewhere else, of you applied, if not that you still end up being able to go to hcc

I was offered a spot on the alternate list as well.

Did they say what number you are on the alternative lists? What were your HESI scores and GPA

They didn’t give a number.

OMG. I was also placed on the alternate list. I wonder how many people were actually placed on that list

The only email I received today was for the criminal background clearance.

The program admits around 120 students, more than 400 applied.
