The nursing advisor said we should get an email at the end of April to find out if we can take nursing pharmacology. But even then, that still does not guarantee that we will be accepted into the nursing program.

Hi all,

I applied at HCC this fall too. Nice to meet you all!

I called the nursing department and they say they will send out the permission code to take Pharmacology next week.

I need to buy that book "Pharmacology: Connections to Nursing Practice". Can I buy the old one or does it need to be brand new? If anybody knows, please let me know.

I hope we all get in! As far as the book I'm not too sure which kind we need. I was just going to wait till we got into pharmacology and get the syllabus from the professor.

As far as the book, I think it depends on your professor. A friend of mine who took it last semester said she was required to get a new one to include the MyNursingLab. I kinda want to start reading it but don't know what to get either...

hello everyone! i just wanna let y'all know that regardless of who you have for your pharm class, the book is going to be the same; maybe a different edition. if lucky enough and you find that they still use the same edition, you can always purchase the MyNursingLab separately. i strongly advise y'all to start studying pharm since yesterday because that class will make or break you and that's why it's not supplemented along with any other nursing classes. with any other nursing classes, always and always study ahead. good luck and stay focused.
