Is there anyone planning to apply for the Fall 2014 ADN program at HCC Coleman??

I got the LAB MANUAL to accompany health assessment in nursing. [Link]

PLEASE NOTE, this is the old edition (the 4th edition). However, I compared between the new and old version and for the most part, the questions are exactly the same. The only thing that changed was the introduction text, and they added a few more phrases. Which is absolute bull because they want to charge $40+ for a book that has the same questions but different phrases lol.

Yes! Bring your ipad with you since it'll be easier to carry. I have a feeling they're going to overload us with supply lists, and I wonder if they'll be selling the items there already.

Okay, this is what I picked out so far.

RNSG 1413 Monday/Tuesday 8:00am - 10:30am with Wooten

RNSG 1115 Monday only 11:00am- 1:00pm with Saddler

Unfortunately, this means I won't be able to sleep late at all otherwise morning is going to be hellish for me. But I like getting over things in the morning, and having the rest of the day to do whatever I want.

I haven't decided on RNSG 1360 because there's so many to choose from. Maybe that will be the clinicals we choose? Who knows!!

Did you guys decide yet which classes y'all want to sign up for?

I am taking the same with a Friday clinical.

Hey guys, I was recommended to have a Drug Guide book ( it's like a drug dictionary). Did any of you buy one? And which book did you buy? Is "Mosby's Drug Guide for Nursing Students" good?

I got Mosby's pharmacology memory note cards and they seem pretty good. They illustrate in cartoons and explain in the back of the card what the cartoon means but I'm considering the drug guide

I heard from a couple of nurses that already graduated that the Davis drug guide was the best.

By the way, does anyone happen to know what color scrubs does the program require?? I am a big baby that can't wait until the orientation so I've been browsing online. :)

It really sucks that they give us 5 days to find scrubs, books, etc. it is ridiculous. I'm getting more frustrated with them each day! Grrr.

I am pretty sure that we will need white scrubs and black scrub pants.

My friend told me that there's a place that sells really inexpensive scrubs called Discount Uniform Corp. Apparently they sell the HCC patches to put on your uniform too! I am thinking of calling them to ask them if they know the scrub colors for HCC.

Ms. Wanda told me to purchase the Edose exam but i don't see it anywhere on safemedicate.net

Do i have to pay $55 for safeMedicate bundle in other to be able to take Edose exam tomorrow ?

Inside Sharp town mall, there is a little store name Uniform Discount and they sell scrub and pant for $4.99 each ( Lizzy B Canada is the brand)
