Thanks!

Southern Regional hires LPN's. I did my clinical there last year and saw LPN's on the floor.

Thanks. I will add them to my list. I am trying to avoid LTC's.

I am a new LVN who works at a LTC. LTCs pay significantly higher salaries to LPNs than hospitals.

I work for Wellstar in Douglasville. All of the WellStar hospitals and doctors offices hire LPN's.

Hi In this area too LTC's pay more than hospitals. Although from my research, hospitals like Northside (Atlanta) pay just a little less, but with night and weekend differential, the pay is comparable.

I personally don't like working in LTC and it would be a last resort for me.

Hello all, I am so excited to see you all live in and around Atlanta. I live in tucker. I just finished my last final today, and have completed all my lpn course. My school Atlanta tech, makes you do a 2 month review before they send your name for the nclex. But as soon as I pass I want to work in the hospitals at least for 1 year. So I can get the best experience. So I guess I better start networking now. If you know of any hospital hiring LPN's please let me know. Thanks

P.S Peds was the hardest for me. I know I passed everything else with at least an B, but that peds has me holding my breath. I won't know until Thursday, please pray for me. Thanks

If you don't mind me asking, how is the program at Atlanta Tech? I haven't found anyone else who has attended, so I haven't been able to get any feedback. Thanks!

I went to Dekalb Tech and I just passed my last Final Monday 3/20 (ATI)

We are not required to take a review, but it is recommended. I am not going to take it (unless I fail the NCLEX on the first try) as I have abundant study material and my ATI scores said I had a 98-99% chance of passing NCLEX. I want to take the NCLEX asap (asap actually means at least 5 weeks because of when our school sends in our applications, the BON check, etc) Keep in touch

I've talked to a few people from Atlanta Tech and have heard mainly good things. What I really like is that they did their clinicals on a Med-Surg floor at Grady, which, imho, is the best experience you can possibly get.

Thanks for the info, Drysolong! I definitely want to consider Atlanta Tech since they seem to start new nursing classes every quarter instead of just once or twice a year.
