Again, look at the other post that you posted to last night.............your answers are there. We can't provide info on such little information. Do you have any idea on how many hospitals that there are in the Chicago area??????

You want to find a place that you would really want to work at, not just someplace that will sponsor you. This is not the way to go about it and we are trying to help you................

Are you currently in the US? If so, I would worry more about getting the Visa Screen Certificate in hand, before anything else. It will take approximtely four months for you to receive the Certificate........you must have this Certificate in hand before a facility can file a petition on your behalf. Then it is another three months before you can begin work, so you are looking at about seven months or so..........

You need to be much closer to graduation, and most prefer that you have passed NCLEX before they will consider filing papers for you.

What type of visa are you in that you are working? If the F1- do you have special permission from immigration?

At least, you can get summer intership or request for your senior practicum in the hospitals that you know for sure that they will sponsor foreign nurses. This will provide you a first step into the hospitals. Go to the job fair and ask around.

You many get job offer even before you graduated. Good luck in your study...

thnks buddy, the thing that i was wondering was abt the visa screening test.. do i have to take that thing...even though i m here,,..in states and when would be the right time for me to start job hunting..

Yes, you must have the Visa Screen Certificate if you plan on working in the US as an RN. Graduating from the US only waives the English requirements for you. You are unable to begin the process until you actually have a completed set of transcripts in hand. They are required, as well as having taken the NCLEX exam.

Where you are actually located has no bearing on the VSC. It is a requirement of US immigration for anyone that will be getting a visa under their own name to work in the US as an RN.
