That answer would be no. No one is paying for nursing school with a surplus of nurses and a bad economy

The hospital I'm at is currently still paying a portion of your tuition. If I work full time during nursing school I'll get more than if only part time. There's also other requirements like agreeing to work for them and keeping your GPA above a 3.0. I'm a LPN so don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Several hospitals in the Milwaukee Wi area still paying all or part of continuing education. They're still hiring ADNs as well.
So you are paying for your initial education and if you get hired there they are paying for additional education.

I don't live on Chicago, but my hospital has a partnership with one of the community colleges and sets aside seats for employees. If their grades qualify. You also have to agree to work for them for 2 years after you graduate. Good thing is you know you'll have a job!
Right but you have to be an employee for that facility.
There is really no one left that are actively recruiting people to go to nursing school and paying their way....or offering tuition reimbursement/loan forgiveness to apply to their facility.
True but in some if you can get in as a CNA then you could be an employee and have them paying for some or all of your RN training.
I did did community college for my ADN and graduated with minuscule debt in an area that is hiring ADNs it was so worth it! Someone else will pay for my BSN so I don't have to.

My aunt had told me that she works at Rush currently and they payed for her school when she was working for them and was a student. If you sign a contract with them stating that you will work for them once you get your RN they will pay for some if not all of your schooling. I would suggest you talk to someone at your school along with someone at the hospital you work for or plan to work for!
Sincerely,
Sara :)

There are a number of places that provide tuition reimbursement, but many require that you be there for a period of time before qualifying.
