Hospitals that hire nurses with no experience

Hi,

i graduated from nursing 7yrs ago from philippines, and just got my license here in Los Angeles. i had no experience since i graduated from nursing and worked on a different field. now that i got my license in nursing, its hard to find hospitals or facilities that hire nurses with no experience.

Any advise.? where to apply and what to do?

It is a very tough job market for all nurses right now in the US. Without experience and having graduated 7 years ago, your best bet will probably be to find a nursing refresher course. You can brush up on your skills and hopefully meet some contacts for future employment.

Ouch, good luck. I am a nurse from outside the US WITH 3+ years experience and Ive had a rough time finding work. I suggest like the above poster, take a refresher course. Apply for the intern positions at hospitals like any new grad would have to do...and pray. A lot.

I would ask around at the local colleges or universities...seems like it would be the best place to start!
