I'm just wondering what hospitals might be easiest to get jobs at with someone with 1.5 years experience in a hospital. 2.5 years as a nurse?

Are you willing to relocate to an undesirable part of the state? I'm asking because I know of a couple of hospitals that are 'easy' to get into if you have some acute care hospital experience, but they are located in ugly towns.

You could do agency or travel nursing if you have over a year of experience. I would also look on career sites on hospital web pages and call their nurse recruiters. I have 2 years experience and they've been very receptive on the phone. Good luck

I wouldn't mind being in an ugly town in CA for a while. If you have any info please let me know or PM me. I've considered travel nursing, but I'm a little worried about the no orientation thing. I'd like to wait until I had 2 solid years experience on a busy floor before leaving, but might not have that option.

Can you recommend any in the inland empire/San Gabriel Valley area? I'm a CNA with no hospital experience and five years MHW psych background.

The SGV and Inland Empire area happens to be glutted with too many healthcare workers and not enough jobs to go around.

What about Orange County or Palm Springs area? Ive heard san bernardino is in the rural part..not too sure.
