Hospitals in Brooklyn

I know that New York Methodist is a good hospital. I do not know if they are hiring new grads though. But go ahead and apply. The next orientation is mid July and then September. I will be starting there soon

Congrats! it must feel great being able to start. Do u know anything about Lutheran medical center, whether its a good place or not? I will get on to New york methodist. Thanx!

My friend got a job at Methodist last year after doing two of her clinical rotations there during nursing school and she loved it. It's deemed as a "teaching hospital" and she said the staff was really friendly and they don't overload the nurses.

I work at Lutheran. I have to say, it's not aesthetically pleasing....it's not in a great neighborhood and the building is actually in an old warehouse....but I have been there for two years and it's been a really *nice* place to work. Its got its downfalls, but there's a pretty good atmosphere among all the employees. Also, their nursing orientation is pretty thorough. I really like the fact that they are all about the neighborhood and the people that live there. If you're more into "looks" and the name of where you work, then Lutheran is not for you. But if you like to work with the "regular people", then it's not too bad.
