Hospital CNA job listing disappeared after 6 days?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hey everyone!

So I've been a CNA for about 2 years now and I've decided I want to try to get into a hospital setting. I love my residents and I love the facility, but I just want a change of pace. I'm starting my BSN program this fall so I also think getting some hospital experience while I'm going to school would be great.

I applied for a CNA job at a local hospital that was posted on Friday, May 30th but it did not say there was a deadline for the application. I coincidentally saw the posting on Friday the 30th and immediately started working on my application. I sent the application in by Tuesday, June 3rd. I haven't had a phone call or an email from the hospital but I just noticed tonight (June 5th) that the job posting is gone.

Does this mean that I didn't get an interview for the position if I haven't heard back and the job posting isn't there? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

I still haven't heard from the particular hospital I posted about here. When I go online and check my job application status, it just says 'applied'. Another position I applied to at a different hospital says that my application is in review, so I'll see how that one comes out. If not, I'll just keep applying to positions and hope something falls into place!

Do they not send emails out saying you haven't been chosen or they have already filled the position? Sometimes it does take a while - be patient and keep applying to others!!!!!

I just received a phone call today from the recruitment center to schedule an interview. I'm so excited and happy! Now to prepare for the interview. Any tips from anyone?

I interviewed on Tuesday and I was offered the job today! I am SO SO SO excited to start!

Yay!!! I JUST finished my orientation for my position :) good luck!

Congratulations. I am so glad all worked out for you.

Thank you! I'm so excited! July 14th is when I start orientation...can't wait! I have to find teal scrubs now haha. Let the search begin! :-)
