Horrible Interview issues.. advice? I am running dry...

Hello all,

I have taken the brave step in looking for a new company to work for. I have HORRIBLE interviews just this past week.

#1 I was set up for an interview only 2 days ago. It was for a team manager position. I arrived to that office today for my 10am inteview. I waited 40 minutes in a filthy dirty lobby ( greasy hand prints on the front door ) in this well established hospice. I then was escorted into an office and told.. oh, we filled this position last week. But we have an admissions RN job... 1pm to 10 Tuesday through Sunday.. oh yeah. what do you say to that??

#2 I was interviewed with company #2 where the administrator was so monotone.. I think she was medicated.

Is it just me or is there just a really bottom of the barrel scrapings? Is it this bad all over?/

#1 Dirty filthy lobby--that means the facility doesn't care what potential clients see when they are there...it's a sign of deeper problems. Admissions RN--that's a huge job that probably would involve more hours than they said it would. Do not work at this place.

#2 Maybe the interviewer was having a bad day or had a monotone personality. I wouldn't judge the whole place by one person's "presence." Consider the other things you learned about the place.

glad you are looking...

Hey Twedie..

After my last last 6 months at the big o.. time to go. It's a holy mess batman. it's so unfortunate, the program has wonderful staff, but at the end of the day... I am not proud to be wearing their name tag. My day is full of I am sorry's for things I can't control.

I have been on interviews where the offices were in great shape, nice and neat and the staff were horrendous.!!! cold, impersonable, numb, etc. I took that as a TOO MUCH STRESS in that work place. A real turn off.

Usually your first impression will last and give you that push back out the door and start looking for something else. But then again it depends.....it could be a rundown place but have the sweetest most caring group of people working there.!!! Sorry, I cannot answer this question.....I wish I could for myself in the near future for my interview but you just have to go with the flow and depend on your GUT FEELINGS about it. Usually I FEEL things correctly. So....I hope your intuition works for you.. Good luck.
