Horizon care services for a new grad RN?

Hello Allnurses!

I have recently moved to FL and I am desperately looking for a job. All the clinics and hospitals want one year experience, which I don't have.. :(

I was offered a job by Horizon Care Services. If anyone has ever worked for them, I would greatly appreciate any insight on pros/cons!!!

What kind of business is it?

Florida may be like my area and only hire new nurses into internship positions a couple of times a year, never directly onto the floor. You may wish to explore whether this is the case.

It's a home health agency that hires independent contractors. Thank you for your advice!

I would not encourage any brand new nurse to enter into an independent contractor position. You need to be trained.
